 Waterfall Bay
|
|
Characteristics:This small, sheltered bay has a sandy bottom with many small boulders, pore
coral heads and table corals. Maximum depth is 15-20 meters with little current.
Highlights:Another popular night dive site because of the lack of current, shallow depths,
and many rocks and corals under which daytime reef dwellers tuck in for the night. Look for parrotfish
wrapped in their cocoons and for hunting lobsters scurrying around. Occasionally you may see a tawny nurse
shark come in for a lobster dinner.
Marcia's notes:This is another easy, relatively shallow dive site with little current. The
site is quite small, so while doing a night dive, no special navigational skill is needed. Wherever you
come up, your boat will be nearby!
